If you have a lot of vintage buttons, here is one way to show them off or dress them up to gift them: Vintage Buttons in Vintage Jello Molds.
I scored a lot of vintage buttons at an estate sale the other day and have been busy the last two days to sort through them and package them in a cute way for my store at the Newburgh Vintage Emporium.
I already had a bunch of vintage Jello tin molds that I had been saving to make something crafty with, and now they came in handy: I added buttons to them, put them into cellophane bags, and added a ribbon and a nice tag to every one of them.
It’s really labor-intensive and I hope customers will notice them and want to bring them home. I know from my experience at the Country Living Fair that these are the items I and most people gravitate to — the little affordable, nicely packaged, vintage things — so I hope these will find great homes.
They make a cute gift for someone into crafts or sewing, or a sweet little conversation piece in any home.
I also packaged a few sets of buttons separately with ephemerals:
How do you think these turned out? Any suggestions for other ideas?
