There was one thing I definitely wanted to do this summer: take Landon to the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. It has been over two years since our last visit.

I had saved a coupon for it that expired yesterday, so we piled in the car and drove 45 minutes to Connecticut.
And then the fun began:
At first Landon didn’t want to touch the sharks, and he started with touching the stingrays.
Compared to the smooth feeling of dolphins, stingrays feel slimy, whereas the sharks feel like sandpaper.
He later also touched a few sharks. They are hard to reach because they don’t swim by as often.
This was a pretty cool feature the kids loved, seeing the stingrays and sharks from below.
Meerkat on his head, why not? Those little guys are so adorable.
Before we went to the IMAX movie Born To Be Wild, we walked outside to see the white alligator. He’s only there until Labor Day. Wonder where he’s going next.
Honestly, I felt terrible for him, all alone out there. I hope he gets to go to a more fun place next.
Spaceship captain.
Another fun day with my little boy. Only three more days and he’ll start first grade. Yikes!
When was the last time you went to an aquarium with your kids?
