On Labor Day, Lasdon Park just down the street from us had it’s Antique Show. This time the weather was perfect — the last time Landon and I were melting and couldn’t drink enough lemonade to stay cool, remember?
There are two antique dealers that I always visit because they have great stuff and affordable prices.
See anything you would have bought?
This was my loot after an hour at the show:
With a little bit of haggling, I only payed $27 for all of this! I had been looking for a little funky step stool for a while and I scored this one for only $10.
The old milk bottle was $6, the little wooden box $5, the hand-painted coffee cup I’m going to make into one of my candles only $4, and the letter $2.
I totally fell in love with this handwritten business letter from 1906. I bought three invoices from the same dealer the last time.
I’m going to frame this and hang it in our house. I’m thinking in the powder room, so people have something to keep them occupied :)
It takes a while to figure out what it says. “…trusting you may favor us with your orders. I am most truly yours, S. Warren” — oh, can we all start talking like that again? Isn’t that language just beautiful?
