Yep, I love coupons. I love paying less for everything.
Last Friday was a very successful couponing day — but this time not for food.
I finally got the overdue oil change for my car. Because I had a coupon from those envelopes full of them you get mailed home, it only cost me $19. That saved me about $10.
I had a coupon for a free drink at Burger King, and there is one close to the oil change place, but I was debating if I should go because we avoid fast food chains. But then I thought why not, we’ll just get fries, and I’ll let L run around in the playground.
So after we both ate our small portion of fries, L ran off to have fun with a few kids, and I had time to go through my coupon folder and take out all of the expired ones.
Since coming back from Germany, I haven’t really had the time for extreme couponing, but I cut the ones of products I buy all the time and my coupon binder goes with me everywhere.
Our last stop: the haircut place. Thankfully, I’m now used to L getting a haircut and it’s not traumatic anymore. Remember this?
I went to the salon I had a coupon for, so it only cost $9 (plus a $3 tip). Everything in Westchester, NY, is pretty expensive, and that’s the best deal around here. And his hair dresser gave me a card for four discounted future haircuts. We’ll be back.
{Plus, I took toys Landon doesn’t play with anymore to Once Upon A Child and made $13.}
Not a bad day for this frugal gal.
Do you use coupons for restaurants, car washes, and dry cleaning?
