DIY Minecraft Birthday Party
Are your kids into Minecraft? Then you’ll live these DIY Minecraft Birthday Party ideas!
Last weekend, we took a little trip to Pennsylvania for one night. Landon’s cousin Logan was celebrating his 8th birthday.
He had a Minecraft-themed party, and his parents had done a great job pulling off a creative DIY Minecraft birthday party.
Since L is also obsessed with building things in Minecraft, I took note of all of their fun ideas.
Logan’s parents had bought bright green tablecloths and green paper cups and plates.
They found creative substitutes for a lot of the items you find in Minecraft for a fun candy table.
Red Vines were TNT, for example. That’s pretty clever, I thought.
Here is a list of the items on the Minecraft candy table:
- Sticks = bread sticks
- Emeralds, redstone, diamonds = sugar sticks
- Carrots = baby carrots
- Pumpkins = candy corn pumpkins
- Building blocks = Rice Krispies
- Cookies = chocolate chip cookie
- TNT = red licorice Fish = Swedish fish
- Torches = pretzel sticks with white chocolate and orange coconut
- Gold = caramels in gold wrappers
Pretty great ideas, right?
Here is a link to free Minecraft printables for the candy table, and there are several others you’ll find when you google for them.
Here is my favorite idea for TNT.
Logan was Steve last Halloween, and a Creeper the year before, so they had brought the two costumes they had made for the kids to use.
This DIY Minecraft birthday party was a huge success with all the kids, naturally.
They were in the pool for hours and would fill up on all the goodies and hot dogs and pizza and Minecraft cake, and jump in the pool some more.
For favors, the kids were allowed to fill green bags at the candy table.
What kind of Minecraft ideas would you add?
