There are always a lot of parties during the holidays, and you might be invited to one or a few and wonder what to bring as a little thank you for the hostess.
What do you bring when you are invited to a party? I’m always looking for new gift ideas.
I like giving something I’ve put together myself, but I don’t want it to take long or to break the bank.
So this is what I came up with for my holiday hostess gift:
Milk Glass Vase Jewelry Holder
I use a vintage milk glass vase to organize some of my bracelets and earrings, and that gave me the idea for this gift.
Here is what I like about this DIY gift: depending on the occasion and how close you are to the lady you are giving it to, you can make the milk glass vase or the bracelet the main gift.
And which hostess can’t use another little vase?
Vintage milk glass vases can be found in many thrift stores or antiques shops for just a few dollars.
As a lover of everything vintage, I have a whole collection of milk glass candle sticks, vases, and little dishes.
If you want to make a more expensive gift, you could buy a more expensive bracelet or bangles.
I made two hostess gifts where the milk glass vase is the focus, and I added the bracelets so that the lady receiving it gets the idea that it’s a vase that she might like to use to organize her jewelry.

I bought one bebe bangles set that wasn’t expensive (about $40) but came with so many bangles that I was able to make several gifts with them.
The mini gel pens and chalkboard label are from Target, and I already had the gold ribbon and cellophane bags. Having a collection of different stickers like these vintage-inspired botanical stickers always comes in handy.
I added a card on the bottom of the cellophane bag and some of the fuzzy gold ribbon. You could also use tissue paper or shredded paper on the bottom before you add the vase and the bracelet or bangles.
For the first gift, I wrote a note on one of the chalkboard labels, and for the second one I used stickers and the chalk marker to decorate the bag.
