A couple of weeks ago I drove to the Country Living Fair at the Dutchess Country Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY. I look forward to the fair every year.

My Visit to the Country Living Fair
I’m lucky that it’s just an hour drive away, just north of us in Westchester.
And it’s a pretty drive, up the Taconic State Parkway, which is a really scenic road — actually the longest parkway in New York.
It was the perfect weather for a visit, and I couldn’t wait to walk around and look for a few treasures.
This is my happy place.
The Country Living Fair is a spinoff from Country Living Magazine, which is full of my favorite decor ideas: cottage, farmhouse, vintage, and rustic decor.
I always like a lot of the items this vendor brings to the fair, one of the first ones close to the entrance.
I basically have all of this in our home: transferware, silver coffeepots, vintage teacups and plates, vintage linens, plus vintage tins and boxes.
I showed you some of the items I bought already, but the most amazing one, is the one I added as a house number to our porch.
After digging through piles of vintage numbers in several booths to find two 6’s for our house number we still need…
…I found a vintage Route 66 sign in a friend’s booth.
It cost a pretty penny, but this kind of unique find I would have regretted not getting.
I have almost the exact picnic basket on the right, and I use vintage crates I found at a tag sale as shelves on our kitchen counter.
You can never have too many vintage crates.

You can find a lot of ironware and milk glass at the Country Living fair, and I was tempted to buy that mold on the bottom left, but it was too pricey.
Licensed junk dealer – that would be me :)
I looked through these print for one with a cow, but they had all been sold already.
After three hours, I headed home all happy with my few finds.
I’m already looking forward to next year.
