When we bought the Blue Cottage, I envisioned putting a comfortable chaise in that corner and a TV to have a spot to relax and lounge with a good book.

Today was a beautiful Sunday in the Hudson Valley! And I had a great time checking out Hastings-on-Hudson and the Hastings Flea.
A few months ago, Ilana contacted me and told me about the Hastings Flea — a fun fleamarket she organizes in one of the Hudson River towns, Hastings-on-Hudson.
Today was the perfect day to check it out. I had never been to Hastings-on-Hudson before, and it’s only 40 minutes away from Katonah.
Hastings Flea happens every second Sunday from April-November, 10-4pm.
It showcases the Hudson Valley’s incredible talent and taste — the best artists, vintage furniture and clothing collectors, handmade jewelry, and craft makers.
If you ever see a vintage trunk for sale, buy it if it’s a good deal! bought this lovely vintage trunk coffee table a while ago, and it adds so much to the cozy decor in my living room.
I’m sharing a thrifty treasure I bought months ago at the Newburgh Vintage Emporium.
Do you remember the large vintage trunk I used as a coffee table in our living room, in front of the fireplace?
I wanted to switch that one out to a smaller table and have had my eye on this trunk with a base for many months.
I finally bought it when it went on sale for $150, which is a great deal for these two pieces.
