You know me, I don’t pay much for decorations – I usually find inexpensive ones at thrift stores, craft stores, or tag sales.

I always have the next holiday in mind and my eye out for decorations for that holiday when I shop.

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17 every year, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick (c. AD 385–461), the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

I always love all of the green in my living room when I decorate for this holiday — it means spring is near, finally.

DIY Valentine’s Day Gift: “Reusable I Love You Because” Framed Note

I made this DIY Day Valentine’s gift “I Love You Because”… frame a few years ago for Valentine’s Day, but you can use it all year, thanks to it being reusable.

You can erase the note you wrote on the glass with a dry-erase pen over and over again, so you can use this for years to come.

This is definitely a cute gift for your boyfriend or husband, or you could decorate your home with it for Valentine’s Day.

Every family member can use it to leave little love notes to each other.

What would you do with six hours of free time?

I had hours of time a few days ago, and I used it to get out my Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® can and finished painting our hutch in the living room.

I had painted part of it about a year ago to take picture on it for my Etsy store — I wanted a spot for pictures with a white background — but I never liked the look of the distressed, off-white lower part and the crisp white upper part of the hutch.

See what I mean? Not pretty.
