Get Your Home Ready for Winter!

This year, I’m extra early with my Christmas decorations — the new Christmas tree was delivered a couple of days ago.

I can’t wait to put it up — I treated myself to a prelit tree, yay!

It looks like our home will be all decked out for Christmas before Thanksgiving, which is a first.

With all of the extra work that comes with the holidays – hosting family and friends, decorating, shopping for gifts — it’s easy to forget to ready your home for the colder months.

We were caught off guard by the first frost before we had winterized the water line for our garden. Thankfully, the line didn’t crack — like it did the first year we were in our house and just didn’t know that you have to let out all of the water out of the line.
