Exposed Brick Wall Ideas

I have a love affair.

With brick walls.

I’m sure it has to do with growing up in Germany, in the quaint and very old town of Bremen, where many, many houses are made out of brick.

You see brick buildings everywhere, especially in the historic part of Bremen, and Germany in general.

I have been pinning pictures of exposed brick walls inside of homes for inspiration for a while now. They add an instant vintage charm and coziness to any room.

Here are just a few I have been drooling over: beautiful examples of brick walls in living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens.

DIY Planter With House Number

Decorated a planter with your house number is not only a great solution to make it easy for people to find your home, it’s also decorative. It’s an easy way to add to the overall curb appeal of your home!

Why do people make it so hard for us to find their home? Where is their house number?!

How many times have you driven up and down a street because you can’t see the house number you’re looking for.

Decorated a planter with your house number is not only a great solution but also decorative – it adds to the overall curb appeal of your home.

I wanted to make it very obvious and easy for people to find our home by making a planter for the front door with a big, white number.

I’m a fan of repurposing and using what you have, so initially, I decided to create my own stencil out of plastic. Unfortunately, I found that the stencil would not lay flat on my round planter.

So, what does a DIYer do in these kind of situations?

You make it work!

I painted the planter by hand and it turned out just as I had hoped – a simple, big number on a planter that everyone can see from the street.

Have you heard of the moldable glue Sugru? It was a totally new product to me until a few weeks ago, and now I’m obsessed. It’s such a helpful product — you can fix about anything with it!

Easy Headboard Makeover & Bedroom Refresh

Check out this easy headboard makeover and bedroom refresh! I repainted my headboard from black to white, and that is all it took to transform my bedroom.

Now that we are all at home more, most people want to make over or update their homes and apartments.

This is the perfect time to tackle home improvement projects, big or small, you always dreamed of!

I never liked the black color of the headboard, but I love the shape and style of it, so I finally repainted it white.

It made such a huge difference in making the bedroom more cohesive with my farmhouse style.

And this one change makes the whole room look so much bigger now!
