How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
I love buying treats and setting a pretty table.
My mom is too far away in Germany to come over so we can celebrate her — actually, she is vacationing in Italy right now — but Don’s mom can come over for brunch and coffee, plus his three sisters, who are all moms (of 11 kids, by the way).
Treat Mom to Banfi Wines for Mother’s Day
I love white wine, and I recently got to try a very special one from Banfi Wines: Natura Chardonnay from Emiliana Organic Vineyards, made with organic grapes in the Bio Bio Valley in Chile.
Banfi Wines was founded in New York in 1919 by John Mariani, Sr. and is now owned and operated by his grandchildren. The company has ranked as North America’s leading wine importer for more than three decades.
If eating and drinking organic is important to you, you’ll love this: at Emiliana, the vineyards use various bugs, bees, birds and native wildlife to provide an effective defense against common vine-destroying insects.
They also use flowers and native plants throughout the organic vineyards as simple and cost-effective method of pest control, and avoid chemicals by using copper and nitrogen instead.
I wish every vineyard would use those natural practices, don’t you? Knowing that this wine is made in a sustainable and gentle way that works with nature makes drinking it even more enjoyable.
Natura’s citrus aroma of grapefruit and lime pairs well with seafood, chevice, and shellfish.
I love a glass of white wine with hearty bread and Brie cheese.
What’s your favorite thing to do on Mother’s Day? How do you celebrate it?
Consider Banfi Wines the next time you want to treat yourself or family and friends to something special.
Wishing you a wonderful Mother’s Day!
