Sofa Bed Under $500 With A Vintage Look

How often do you have guests that sleep over? Would you like to have an extra bed in your home but are short on space? Then a sofa bed is just the ticket!
We have two bedrooms, but we don’t have a guest room in our Blue Cottage, and when my mom comes to visit for two weeks, or Don’s cousin with his wife and son, we give them Landon’s room to stay in.
Well, we now have a second option I’m so thrilled to tell you about: our new Novogratz Vintage Tufted Sleeper Sofa by DHP Furniture!
Do you remember the Novogratz TV show? I loved watching this husband and wife duo juggle their colorful, hip design jobs with their seven kids.
I recently collaborated with DHP Furniture, and they sent us this beautiful vintage-inspired sofa bed that replaced our old beige sofa.
It’s the perfect fit for our home — I love the shape, the gray color, and the fact that it doesn’t have any pillows. Our old sofa had two seat pillow that constantly lost their shape, which can’t happen with this sofa bed.
Upholstered in rich velour fabric with diamond tufting, this vintage-style sofa is accentuated by Victorian legs. The comfortable seat has three easy-to-convert positions including sitting, lounging, and sleeping.
And can you believe that this stylish sofa is less than $500?
The sofa comes in five pretty colors — pink, dark blue, dark green, beige, and gray — and I had such a hard time deciding which color I loved most. I must have spend an hour debating about the best color.
The hunter green one would have looked sophisticated and unique, and the pink would have worked perfectly with our shabby chic farmhouse look.
I almost ordered the dark blue one, because that would’ve worked well with our chairs that are upholstered in white and blue, but I’m thrilled with the gray sofa. It looks amazing with our gray TV stand and gray rug.
The sofa bed was easy to put together, and yesterday I turned it into a bed for the first time.
All you have to do is pull the back part of the sofa toward the seat part and then move it back.
The bedding fits most futons and sleeper sofas (including Novogratz + DHP) that are twin size, so if you already have a futon, this bedding would be a great option.
The fitted sheet fits perfectly, and this “Dream” quilt will look great not only on this bed but also on son’s bed.
I’m excited that we now have an extra bed for guests, and we are enjoying the sofa every day.
I often work in front of the TV, so I’m getting a lot of use out of it, and it’s very comfortable.
