Pineapple Radler Spritzer Drink Recipe
If you know me, you know that I’m a total lightweight, and that my favorite alcoholic drinks are sweet.
Don’t give me a bitter red wine — I want sweet!
I’m known to add orange juice to Moscato wine, that sweet.
So when I thought of a drink for New Year’s Eve, the first thing that came to mind was making a sweet, light drink with just a bit of alcohol, the kind I love.
A spritzer is a chilled drink, usually made with white wine and carbonated water or sparkling mineral water.
When I shopped for the drink ingredients, I decided to not make it with wine. I wanted to use Beck’s beer — because it’s from my hometown in Germany, Bremen!
See that key on the Beck’s beer bottle? That’s the key to the town.
When I visit Bremen, I always drink a yummy Radler.
Here is proof:
Don’t know what a Radler is — also called a shandy? It’s a Beck’s beer with lemon soda. It’s a super yummy, refreshing drink.
The Radler spritzer I came up with is even more fun, because I added pineapple juice for sweetness and a bit of lime sparkling water to make this Pineapple Radler Spritzer.
Entertaining tip: just add all of the ingredients to a pretty tray and let your guests make their own Radler.
Make sure the kids can’t to the beer :)
This sweet Radler drink is perfect for all kinds of occasions: brunch, girls night, holiday parties, and of course New Year’s Eve.
Really any sparkling water flavors — lemon, lime, berry, and black cherry — would work for my Radler recipe — just pick your favorite!
