Bottle brush tree decor is so beautiful! Here is a simple decor idea that only takes minutes to put together and got so popular that Hometalk asked me to make a show about it for them.
Do you have a pie tin collecting dust in your house or maybe your Grandma’s house?
When I needed a centerpiece for my Christmas tablescape, I decided to create an easy one with one of my vintage pie tins and a group of bottle brush trees and a glass cloche.
I collect vintage pie tins and have been wanting to make something out of one for a while, and I just love the look of cute little bottle brush trees.

These are the supplies for the kind of pie tin stand I created with a pie tin and candle holder and a cloche:
Pie tin like this one:
fake or real greenery and pine cones
short candle holder or incense holder (like I used) or silver or galvanized cup
Or buy this pretty cloche with galvanized base.

I could have spray painted my vintage pie tin, but that would have taken away from the vintage character, which I wanted to preserve.
Glue dots are my best friends. I use them to fix ornaments, center pictures on the wall, repair things, hold garlands in place — and I used them to easily glue down the little bottle brush trees on the pie tin.
I added three, one for each of us, added a hand full of the fake snow, the cloche, and then the greenery and pine cones on the outside of the cloche.
I wanted to put the pie tin onto a pedestal, and I tried out different candle holders.
Whatever you use as a base, make sure it’s wide enough so it doesn’t tip over from the weight of the pie tin and everything on it and not too tall so that the pie tin is stable on it. You don’t want it to be knocked over.
This white incense burner I bought at a thrift store was perfect as my base, and as you can see, I simply added three glue dots to the rim before I put the pie tin on top of it.
I could have glued it on as well, but that would have taken a lot longer. I like the instant result of using the glue dots.
There you have it: my easy Christmas bottle brush tree centerpiece with a vintage pie tin and candle stick!
What I like about this candle stick is that you can put a tea light into the bottom – isn’t this pretty? Another thrift store find that came in handy.
