Yes, you can make an easy wood stain with coffee and vinegar!
Updating furniture or a frame doesn’t have to cost much: I made a DIY wood stain for a frame with only steel wool, coffee grounds, and vinegar!

I can’t decide what I love more: that I finally found a frame that fits Don’s old headshot (for $1 at a yard sale) or the fact that I was able to upcycle coffee grounds.
I’ll definitely make this stain again for future furniture pieces.
I’m not a fan of unfinished wood furniture, but now I’ll be keeping my eye out for them on my thrifting trips because I can paint them so easily with this dark wood stain.
