Another weekend is over. How is that possible? But we did pack a lot of fun into two days.
The local egg hunt didn’t happen like last year because it was raining, but we did get to see the Easter Bunny at the local library.
Landon was happy to get the bag of candy, but then he didn’t want to get a picture with the Easter Bunny.
So we just watched the other kids for a while, until L decided he was ready after all:
After that we hung out in the library for a while, and because it was still so yucky outside I took him to Jumping Jeepers, an indoor playground we had never been to before.
We were both in heaven: L got to play with other kids for two hours…
…and I got to read Country Living magazine I had loaned out from the library.
L got so sweaty from running around, his hair was stuck to his forehead :)
I love this picture of him. He looks a lot like his cousin James here.
For a late lunch, we went to The Freight House Cafe in Mahopac. Donna serves local, mostly organic fare, and I always eat the Lake wrap. Vegetarian goodness, so yummy.
L was cranky because by now it was past 2PM and he was tired and hungry, but a bagel with butter and playing with a little girl there made him forget all about that.
And I ran into Faith Ann who wrote that nice article about me for The Yorktown Examiner.
Time to drive home — and fall asleep in the car.
This morning L decorated Easter eggs. I founds this cute pirate egg decorating kit at Target for $5 and knew he’d have fun with that. He’s into pirates and policemen and firemen at the moment. We used plastic eggs so he’d be able to enjoy them longer.
L is going to be off of school next week, and while that makes it hard for me to get my work done, I’m looking forward to spending more time with him.
My girlfriend and I might take the kids to Ikea again.
Tomorrow I’m getting our taxes done.
Can’t wait to get that off my to-do list. I had big aspirations to get them done before March this year, remember? Ha!
Did you do something fun with the kids this weekend?
