Shabby Chic Kitchen Decor Ideas
First rule of shabby chic decor: lots of white! So white cabinets for sure, like these:
A shabby chic kitchen calls for furniture pieces and decor with chippy paint like this bench.
One easy way to achieve that: repaint a furniture piece you already have white with chalk paint that doesn’t require any sanding or stripping.
Then use sand paper to sand down some spot to create the chippy look. I painted my chairs I use in the kitchen like that.

I like that anything vintage looking works in a shabby chic kitchen, even anything that isn’t in perfect condition. You can buy any vase or container or little shelf at a thrift store and paint it white for added accents.

Shabby chic farmhouse decor means soft, often pink colors. So adding canisters or a cake stand or a few cups in pastel colors in an easy way to add to the shabby chic flair.
I have a thing for chippy, painted wood floors. If my floors don’t look so nice any longer in a few years, I would totally consider painting them white. I don’t even care if some of the paint gets chipped off at some point — that just adds to the charm.
