Blue Cottage Stone Driveway
Gosh, so much going on. I really need this year to slow the heck down.
We knew a snow storm was coming, so I had to change plans yesterday and drive to my booth at the Newburgh Vintage Emporium to drop off more vintage treasures.
I raced back to make a conference call that then didn’t happen, and it goes from there.
I have spent hours on the phone with our darn health insurance again this week, school was canceled, L is playing Titanic in the bathtub, the living room is full of Christmas decor for a tablescape I want to style and photograph, and I have about five other posts to write.
I ate left-over cheese cake for breakfast this morning. That’s how crazy things are.
BUT…
We finally, finally have a proper driveway!
I’m so thrilled that finally happened that I’m not even mad that it’s now covered with snow.
We went with Unilock stone pavers because we need the drainage. I like how it adds to our cottage look for our Blue Cottage.
Yesterday I spent an hour landscaping, spreading out wood chips next to the driveway during a beautiful sunset and while a deer was walking past me 5 feet away.
Now it looks like this. I put the bucket and cones next to the driveway hoping the snow plows don’t chew it up only days after it was put in.
Don’s little birthday present tree we planted last year has grow quite a bit.
He still looks so little, but that is going to be one massive tree one day, with fire-red fall leaves.
I can’t wait to enjoy the look of our Blue Cottage stone driveway in the spring.
