Dreaming of the most beautiful porch? Here are some of the prettiest porch decorating ideas from Pinterest, and I’m showing you how I decorate our Blue Cottage porch in a farmhouse style.
We don’t have a basement at the Blue Cottage, and we don’t even have a shed yet. So where does everything end up? On our porch.
It was filled with boxes and bikes and building supplies for a long time even after we moved in, but now it’s my favorite “room” in the house.
I love decorating our porch for every season and enjoy sitting out there in the rocking chair and read.

The Prettiest Farmhouse Porch Decorating Ideas
Here are a few porch ideas I love:
We don’t have space for a big table on our porch, but I like the rattan chairs and the grain sack pillows in this picture.
You probably already know about my love for everything grain sacks — adding grain sack pillows or tea towels is one of the easy things you can add to your home that screams farmhouse decor.
This is a great, inexpensive set of four indoor and outdoor rattan chairs that will last on your porch for many years.
My favorite idea from that previous picture: did you notice the linens on a clothes line?!
That mimics what I did with these dish towels and tension rods in our living room. By adding them just to the bottom of our windows, the towels give us added privacy but let in light.
Plus, I have two bird cages, and now that I see this idea, I want to put them out on the porch.
I always look for cool signs or pictures for our porch. I also like that chippy vintage bench in the above picture, and that crate turned into a table.
Another great idea for more privacy and to make a porch feel more like a room is hanging curtains. This is an interesting idea to just hang them in the corners.
I did something similar a few years ago: I added inexpensive shower curtain liners to the sides of our porch to keep out the rain and snow, and it adds a ton of privacy.
They also let in more light compared to darker burlap curtains.

I already have an old crate and vintage bottles like the ones you can see in the picture below, and even a little step stool like that. I also like that grain sack pillow with the one red stripe.
Our porch is small, but there are still so many ways to decorate it.
