Wrapping paper storage door hanger for small items
Use the space behind your doors!
One of my favorite storage hacks is to buy see-through shoe organizers you hang on the inside of door.
I use one for small toys in Landon’s room and another one for my scarves, but as you can see, you can also use it for snacks and spices, etc.
I would actually like another one just for tools like screwdrivers so I have them handy all the time.
But did you know that this wrapping paper organizer exists? I didn’t, and I’m in love!
Gift wrapping items organized and easily accessible forever? I’m going to buy several of these for sure!
Cutting off the first step of the ladder to make use of all that storage under the bed is genius:
Two inexpensive bookcases and a little trim make this look like an expensive build-in:
Here are similar shelves that you can easily put together yourself:
I added two of these that are even higher with seven shelves in our pantry to take advantage of the wall height.
It is awesome to have space to store a ton of small collected items like this where you can easily see and find items.
It looks like they actually took four smaller cabinets and combined them to one.
I have a large, tall cabinet like this in my office for small items that I rotate according to the season.
Here is a great alternative. You could buy several of these, two or four, and don’t use the feet and create something similar to store small items.
Storage under the stairs
Yes, please! How cool is this storage under stairs!
Now, that’s obviously custom, and you’d have to have stairs like this.
How clever is this inexpensive roll-out pantry?
If you have space under or next to the stairs, or in a narrow spot, don’t just put a shelf there that is hard to access — simply add a sturdy shelve with wheels!
Do you see how they modified this roll-out shelf by cutting the polls on the top so it would fit under the stairs?
We have the same kind of space under our stairs, and I use this kind of rolling cart under ours for small craft items.
Reuse small bowls or teacups for small-item storage containers in a drawer:
What a lovely, colorful way to display and organize your jewelry, right?
I certainly have enough small bowls to do something similar in a drawer.
Why didn’t I think of this? Just use a hanger to store all your scarfs:
If you don’t want to craft your own, there are many different scarf hangers you can buy, like these:
Repurpose simple crates for wall decor and storage.
This would be so easy to do! Use inexpensive wooden crates, spray paint cans, a few nails, and voila — cool and inexpensive storage that would work in any room.
Crates can be both — decor and a way to organize things. I absolutely love this simple idea to create a focal point on the floor, next to a plant, and you could redecorate this for every season.
You can go with inexpensive unfinished crates or ones that are painted white already like these:
They don’t all have to be the same size either — play around with different sizes.
Hang baskets from towel rods.
This would work great in a pantry or laundry room. You can customize this storage solution with baskets you like best or fit the space you have the best.
