Have you ever slept in a charming attic bedroom in a farmhouse or cottage? Have you ever dreamed about turning your attic into a sweet bedroom? Then you are in for a treat: here are many examples of the most adorable attic bedrooms, cottage and farmhouse style.
I’m sitting on the couch, eating chips with spinach and kale Greek yogurt dip, and watching one of my favorite shows, Fixer Upper.
Joanna has my dream job: she’s a blogger and designer who styles homes with rustic and shabby chic farmhouse decor. Her husband Chip is a carpenter/contractor and works alongside with her on the homes.
They take the ugliest fixer upper in the best neighborhood and work their magic, completely transforming the house.
I would love to have the same business — but we live in pricey Westchester, NY, so even fixer uppers cost $400,000 here.
But one can dream. I’m dreaming of an attic bedroom.
Our Blue Cottage has a large attic, but it’s full of boxes since we are short on space everywhere else.
We don’t have basement or a garage, so space is limited, and that’s why the attic is full of our extra stuff.
I’d love to make our attic a usable room one day.
It’s big enough to stand up comfortably, but we’d have to figure out an easier access, because right now we only have a pull-down ladder in Landon’s bedroom ceiling.
It might never happen, that attic bedroom, but in the meantime, I have fun getting lost on Pinterest to look for examples of beautiful cottage or farmhouse attic bedroom designs.
Wouldn’t it be lovely to wake up in one of these dreamy attic bedrooms?

You can find this adorable attic in the Red Brick Barn in Victoria, Australia.

If we can’t make a attic bedroom happen, then we can at least dream about a she shed, right?
I’ve written a whole post about she sheds – don’t miss it!
