My Thrifty Treasures — German Serving Bowl

by Dagmar Bleasdale on October 1, 2012

thrifting find from thrift storeLandon is a great little partner in crime when I shop for new treasures in thrift stores and at yard sales. He lets me browse, and sometimes we can also find a little treasure for him.
Recently, I found this beautiful big service bowl — I guess it’s for serving soup?

It’s missing the lid, but I don’t mind because I’m going to us it to plant some flowers in it.

I’m magically drawn to German china, and sure enough, when I turned over this piece, the markings showed that it was hand-painted and made in Germany.

And it was $3 :)

Did you find a treasure this week, anything that you were able to buy for little?

I’m linking up to Rhoda’s Southern Hospitality Thrifty Treasures post. This is her last Thrifty Treasures post for a while, but I might just keep posting mine. Should I add a linky to it so you can link up? Let me know.
