I love decorating for fall and Halloween — but let’s be real, I’m too busy to do anything elaborate and like the decorating projects that take only a few minutes and don’t cost much, like my fall centerpiece that I put together in 5 minutes.
We all want to create a cozy home for our family and impress guests, so I picked out some fall and Halloween decorating ideas we all can do in minutes, and even better — the kids can help you with them, or you can keep them busy with these activities for a little while.

Martha Steward has the best ideas: what about fanged vampire pumpkins?

Or Pickles Brains made of cauliflower in a glass jar and this concoction.
One of the most ingenious ideas: Just cut eyes into toilet paper rolls, put glow sticks into them, and hide them in the bushes outside. Creepy!

Reuse jars, paint them on the inside, decorate a face on the outside with permanent markers and you’ll get this sweet Halloween decor:

Okay, this many mice would indeed be creepy, but I think it’s a cute idea to hide a few of these paper mice in the house! Here is the template for them from Martha Stewart. Have the kids help you cut them out.

This idea thrills me because it reuses milk jugs: have the kids decorate them with faces and then light them up by simply cutting holes in the sides, lining them up, and threading a string of Christmas lights through them.

I adore this no-carve pumpkin decorating idea since I have tons of ribbon: just add double-stick tape to some orange, red or white ribbon and wrap it around sugar pumpkins.

Stopping in from SITS! Love the linky idea! Cheers!
These are such great ideas. I haven’t been able to decorate Halloween because I’m been creating design boards for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
So many great ideas! Thanks for sharing. I especially love the fanged pumpkins and the ribbon wrapped pumpkins. Too cute.

That many mice would really creep me out too, but I really like the re-purposed jar idea. My kids would have fun helping with that one too!
