Pound Ridge: Farmer’s Market, Antiques, and Yummy Cheese

Plum Plums cheese shop in Pound Ridge, CTWe’ve lived here in Westchester, NY, now for five years, but I’ve never explored Pound Ridge, which is about 40 minutes away from Katonah.

I wanted to do something fun on Sunday, so when I read in our local paper that Pound Ridge has a farmer’s market, I convinced Don that we should check it out.

The drive was beautiful, as always around here when the sun is out. Once we got to Pound Ridge (Scott’s Corner), I could see a few tents on the sidewalk, so that’s were we headed.
We ate a few cookie samples, bought a few things, and then I headed into the Antiques & Tools store.

Farmer's Market in Pound Ridge, NYEven Don was impressed with the selection of old hand tools this store carries, and I was happy with the prices. They are all firm, but really fair.

I was thinking of buying this :)

This store must have been here forever. It’s not pretty but has charming character and is a great find for a thrift store lover like me.

Don took L to get a slice of pizza, while I made my way down the street. This is the next store…

…and another antiques store.

antiques store in Pound Ridge, CTAcross the street is this adorable little cheese shop, Plum Plums. It sells cheese from many different places in the world, and it’s also an art gallery. What a cool combination and use of a little store.

Plum Plums cheese store in Pound Ridge, CTI bought three sets of French cheese knives that were in the 75% off box in front of the store, for only $$5! And I sampled a few amazing cheeses and bought a little piece.

This was my lunch: reminded me of “Abendbrot” in Germany. Yum!

Great post! However, Pound Ridge is in Westchester County, NY same as Katonah – not Connecticut. Thought you’d like to know :)
