I found this review of Dagmar’s momsense yesterday on NYMetroParents and just had to share it. How lovely :)
The NYMetroParents blogroll features the best blogs in the parenting world, from New York and beyond. Here’s a closer look at why we love these mom bloggers and dad bloggers and how they’re shaping the web for parenting today.
Blogging From: Westchester County, New York
Dagmar Bleasdale sounds like a fantastical character you might find in the pages of Harry Potter; some Luna Lovegood-esque presence with magical powers who takes everyone’s breath away. In reality, she’s every bit as magical to her son, Landon, and thousands of loyal readers through her wildly popular mom blog, Dagmar’s Momsense. It seems like there’s hardly a difference at all between the world of wizarding and being an impressive mom-of-all-trades!
Besides chronicling motherhood and married life in Suburbia (Westchester, to be exact), being the active founder of imPROOF, her social media consulting business and teaching others the power of blogging and social media, Dagmar strongly promotes a variety of lifestyles to help encourage the mom community to “believe in their instincts and to pursue their dreams.” Dagmar’s frequent blog topics include natural birth, breastfeeding, vegetarian/vegan diet options, green and organic sustainability, and healthy co-sleeping habits. With over 18,000 followers on Twitter and a strong presence on other social media outlets, it’s clear that this mom’s influence and outreach is to be paid loads of attention.
Dagmar understands that not all moms will find attachment parenting or juice cleanses to be totally up their alley. If you’re looking for a little inspiration in your day, Dagmar’s site is choc-full of home decorating ideas, from dream children’s play spaces to the ultimate fantasy master bedroom suite. If you love her design style, be sure to also check out her fun and addictive inspiration boards on Pinterest.
Dagmar’s blog is filled to the brim with amazing advice for moms and their kids too. If you’re coming for expert advice or just a break during your toddler’s nap time, Dagmar’s Momsense is as much of a reprieve from the hectic day-to-day as a JK Rowling novel – but somehow, Dagmar’s brilliance is all based on real life. – Melanie Baker

*blush
The crazy thing is that I am a character in a novel — my friend Ilie Ruby likes my name so much that she made it a character in her just-released second novel, The Salt God’s Daughter. We met on Twitter late at night about a year ago and the rest is history.
This certainly beats being part of a salad.
If you want to know what “Dagmar” is up to, buy the book! I just received my copy today and if it’s anything like Ilie’s first one, I won’t be able to put it down. Here is my review of her first amazing novel.
I had no idea NYMetroParents was working on featuring me — what a nice surprise. A big thanks you to Melanie Baker to take the time to explore and really delve into my blog! I truly appreciate it.
If you enjoy Dagmar’s momsense, please consider voting for it! I’m currently in the running for two lists, Top 25 New York Mom and Top 25 Mompreneur, and if you can spare a simple click, that would be wonderful. You can vote once a day for the next 14 days.

I like that, “she had been a guest at one of the parties, had gotten drunk and fallen into the ocean people said. No one had followed her.” Sounds like my twitter account. lol
This is so wonderful! Congrats!
Thanks, Jamie!
Congratulations! What a great review. I totally agree with the review, I just recently found your site and really enjoy it. All the best!
