It’s 3 in the morning, and I finally caught up on work after not getting to it during the day. I would love to blog some more, but I should probably head to bed. Landon is going to wake up in four or five hours.
I had a full and fun Friday and no, I didn’t start my juice cleanse. I forgot that I had made plans with my girlfriend to have lunch while our kids are in school. So we had fun over coffee and a meal at Panera Bread, checked out a thrift store, ran some errands, and then headed home to get the kids off the bus.
Landon and I ended up hanging out with them for the rest of the afternoon. It’s rare for me to be spontaneous and let the days drift by like that because in the back of my mind I’m always thinking of how many emails and work is piling up while I’m not in front of the computer.
We had a snack at my girlfriend’s house, the kids played together, and then we all went for a long walk with their dog. One more exercise I can note in my MapMyFitness challenge.
So I’m off to bed — and kind of looking forward to my first day on only juice. I already made a ton of it today, and a yummy soup out of all the pulp that was left over.
No matter how long I can last on this juice cleanse (Don ended his today after seven days and I’m shooting for three days), I already know that making our own organic vegetable and fruit juice will be something we’ll keep doing from now on. It’s one more thing to include in our quest for an even healthier lifestyle.
I think we are on the right track.
Now it’s 3:30 AM. Good “night”!
