Easy and Green Christmas Crafts For Kids

by Dagmar Bleasdale on December 10, 2010

If I had unrestricted space and an unlimited budget, I’d be redecorating our home every week. I love to decorate and I’m obsessed with HGTV decorating shows like Divine By Design.

My dream day would involve a whole day on the sofa, blanket over me, Nutella glass in hand, and HGTV design, fixer-upper, and staging shows.

Not going to happen any time soon, but at least I can stalk the Internet for decorating ideas I love and report back.

I was just recently allowed access to Pinterest, so watch out, I’m going to be full of great ideas!

I never blog much about my love for decorating, but that is going to change. So here is the first post of what you are going to see more of:

Christmas decoration ideas I love because:

  • they are easy to do — even with kids
  • let you save money
  • involve  recycling old Christmas cards and all those buttons you don’t know what to do with
  • they are just plain adorable

Handmade gifts are still the ones most people prefer, so have fun! Make something for family members or friends, or keep the ornaments for your own tree.

The ornaments also make a great little decoration for wrapped gifts. Click on the name of the craft for instructions.

Paper-Plate Angels

Button Wreath Ornament

Button Ornaments

Recycled Card Ornaments

Have fun creating little masterpieces with your children you’ll enjoy for years.
