Not Me! Monday — Birthday and a Giveaway

{OMG, I did NOT name this post Wordless Wednesday by mistake! Well, I have to keep the URL as is, but I did change at least the post title. Sorry, people, I left my brain cells behind with my thirties!}

I did not celebrate my 40th birthday this weekend. There, I said it. I feel I’m at a good place in my life at 40, I have an adorable, healthy little boy; a handsome husband, hard-working husband; a wonderful, supportive family; and I love my work. I know I am very blessed and looking forward to what the next few years will bring. They are shaping up to get interesting!

I did not eat a fried egg for my birthday dinner. My sister-in-law took Landon for a sleepover so that Don and I could go to a fancy dinner at the Flying Pig in Mount Kisco, and I just had to try the fried egg. It was delish!

I did not get loopy after half a glass of Riesling wine. Not me!

I do not wish I was ten years younger, because then I’d definitely have another child. There, I said it.

L did not have hours of fun at the pool last week. He has no fear — which of course makes my heart stop periodically. He’s my little “Wasserratte” — my little water rat. Is that an expression you have here in America?
