I did not wear a white and a black woolen sock to New York City the other day. Uh, yes I did. I was invited by Hasbro to a blogger event before they officially opened their doors for the New York Toy Fair (look out for the extensive blog post on that). I could only find one of each, it was 6 in the morning when I got dressed, and nobody was going to notice anyway. I could have worn other socks, I have plenty, but these are my warmest ones. Since I knew I had to walk a little bit in bitter cold to and from the train, I opted for comfort and not style. So there :)
I do not reheat my coffee five times in the microwave because I just never get to it before it’s cold again. Blaming motherhood — and Twitter.
I did not overcook a perfectly wonderful vegetable soup the other day. This is what it looked like at first: crunchy, colorful vegetables, cut into small pieces with love (sans the slug I noticed just in time before I cut the watercrest, *shudder*) . . .
. . . and this is what it looked like in the end:
Blaming Twitter, again — twenty more tweets were the death of all the vitamins in that soup. But I still enjoyed it. Unfortunately, Don didn’t have more than one bite. I made the mistake to tell him about the slug . . . Oh well, more for me :)

Ha! I reheat my coffee endlessly in the microwave. I’ve even put it in the fridge because I had to leave, and warmed it up later that day. They say microwaving coffee is bad for it. But “they” aren’t busy moms who get interrupted 265 times a day.

I always end up reheating my tea (I can’t handle caffeine, so no coffee for me!) at least once before I drink it. Sometimes, I’ll drink it cold just to avoid reheating it for a second or third time– a “I give up” plea, so to speak. I blame Twitter and Blogger!

The soup looks delicious and so very healthy.
I got used to drinking cold coffee when my boy was little.

Making soup even with all the vitamins cooked out was still healthier than canned!!
I often buy socks, they all just seem to go missing, I’m beginning to wonder if the problem is me, or people in my household who don’t know how to use a hamper!
