It snowed here big-time two days ago and we had so much fun playing outside!
I had just bought L a small shovel at the mall as a treat after his dentist appointment (we made it through another difficult one) because I know how much he loves helping Daddy shovel the driveway.
And I got to make a snowman for the first time in about 25 years! Two years ago I bought this cute snowman kit at a sale at a local school. The kids had made many of these snowman kits themselves and were selling them for $5 each. The kit included a hat, a scarf, some buttons in a bag, two pieces of coal in a bag, and a pipe.
Making snowman kits for friends and family for the winter or for Christmas would be a fun activity with kids. What an easy and welcome gift they would make! I think I could get all the supplies, including cellophane and little plastic bags, for nearly nothing at my dollar store. Who wouldn’t like a kit to make a really cool snowman? I couldn’t wait to use ours.
Meet Mr. Snowman:
L and Don helped me build him.
The snow was sticky, but we couldn’t roll large balls, that’s why Mr. Snowman is long and lean.
I have received several compliments for my breastfeeding bumper sticker; people really get a kick out of it :)
Did you build a snowman this winter?

I love the snowman kit and I think I might make some kits up myself for gifts. Too bad I didn’t know about it sooner, it would of made a great Christmas gift.
I also helped my grandkids build a snowman. I hadn’t built one for about 20 years.
A Snowman kit, what a wonderful idea! Love yours! Oh, and that bumper sticker…excellent! Where do I get one?
Great connecting on twitter! Your snowman looks snazzy. We are going to run out and make a few more snowmen today. The snow is perfect!
Great snowman. We even got some snow here in Texas. Such an unusual winter.
