Recounting the fourth day of our Germany trip. Please bear with me here, I have so many great pictures of this day. I hope you enjoy them!
After eating a nice, cheap breakfast (Brötchen, Eier, Käse, and Marmelade) at a local supermarket restaurant with Nani and Opa (I inherited being frugal from my dad!)…

…Landon and Nani and I took the tram…

…to Bremen’s city center. I love this old, historic part of town and visit it every time I am in Bremen. First, we went to the Schnoor with it’s cute, narrow streets lined with little cafes and shops.

Of course I had to stop at Starbucks for a coffee — I felt right at home! — and L had a cookie after a major screaming fit that echoed through the small Schnoor streets (I forget why… oh yes, he didn’t want to sit in the stroller).

This is a knockoff of the real Bremer Stadtmusikanten (wait, where is the rooster?).

Then we strolled over to the real center of town, the Markt. Many of the important town buildings are centered around this beautiful marketplace.

Flute music echoed across the whole marketplace and L ran to find the street musician. L is absolutely fascinated when he sees someone play an instrument, he gets into this trance where he doesn’t hear anything but the music, so he just sat down and enjoyed a little concert.

He could have listened for hours, but we finally gave him some money to give the guy and moved on.

But we didn’t get far:

As promised, now you’ll see why L sat down again only a few steps later:

The young man played a few pieces especially for Landon, and people gathered to watch L watch the musician. Too cute.
We finally walked on and encountered a German doggy watering station…

…and happened to pass the vacuum section in a department store. L was in heaven!

Oh God, please don’t let him become a vacuum cleaner sales man!

Back at home, we checked out the water lilies in the little front yard pond…

…made friends with a toad…

…and L drove around some more with his Trecker in the backyard…

… before it was time for Abendbrot and Schlafanzug.
