Landon didn’t have hair for the longest time (take a look at these pictures), but that was no surprise to me, because I was a baldy for a long time as well. He has the same fine hair I have, also no surprise. His hair finally grew and is getting long now. What was a surprise is that the middle of the hair in the back got really long and curls in the cutest curl. I love it, because I always had very straight hair.
I keep going back and forth about wanting to cut his hair for the first time but not wanting to lose that one and only curl. Of course I would keep it, but once this one is cut off, I will probably never let his hair grow this long again — so this is it for little curls! We are going to visit my parents in Germany soon, and I just can not decide if I want them to see him with his curl for the last time (we only visit every six to twelve months) or with a nice big-boy haircut. I am planning to take him to one of those kid’s salons, which I don’t think they have in Germany.
What would you do? Is it time for the first haircut? Or do you like how it looks now? Let me know!

His hair reminds me of my little girl’s hair. I don’t know what to tell you because I have been trying to decide if we should get her’s cut, but hate to cut the curls off.
You should cut it to make it grow stronger… just like plants. I did it to my son at 5 months old and he was almost bald then. I’m going to do it again soon, I’d shave it! It’ll grow back….stronger and thicker.
How adorable is that! I wouldn’t cut it just yet. Maybe the end of the summer. It does not look that terribly long and uncomfortable for him, so I would let it grow a little more. Who knows hon, you might end up with a bag full of curls!
That’s so cute :) My son also lacked hair for his first 2 years of life. And then when it did grow in, it grew in just like your little guy’s. Long in the back only, aka mullet. We just snipped off the back stuff. He’s almost 3 and has had 2 haircuts :)
His hair does not look that long to me and the curl is cute. :)
But one of the trick is – the more his hair is cut, the more hair he will have. (It works for my niece, who was bald for quite some time after she was born and now she got thick fine hair.)
You need to check out my little lads hair!! He has blond curls all over the place … he’s 20 months … and I have no intention of cutting it!!! I cut the fringe so the poor boy can see where he’s going, but that’s about it :o) I’m voting for keeping the Landon curl!!
Awe, so cute! I cut my son’s because he looked like he was sporting a mullet ;0) But I kept the front long…just a trim!
